FAQ
Questions neighbors actually ask
No fake star ratings — just the practical details before you request an intro.
Are you a well-drilling company?
No. Cache Valley Well Drilling connects landowners with independently licensed Utah well drillers. We do not operate drill equipment or crew.
How much does a new well cost in Cache Valley?
Public local guides (including Duke Building’s Cache Valley well overview) often cite a rough ballpark of about $15,000–$35,000 for a domestic well. Depth, geology, casing, and pump equipment drive the real number. That range is a ballpark for planning — not a quote from us. Only a licensed driller can price your site.
What permits or paperwork do I need?
In Utah, drilling typically requires a valid water right and a Start Card filed with the Division of Water Rights before work begins. Rules vary by situation — start at the Utah Division of Water Rights well information page. Your driller can explain their process; they don’t replace state requirements.
How long does it take to get a well drilled?
Capacity is the bottleneck more often than the days on site. Neighbors in local groups frequently describe wait lists measured in months — and sometimes a year or more — for Cache Valley drillers. Submitting early helps; we can’t invent open calendar slots that don’t exist.
What happens after I submit the form?
We review the request (location, new well vs. pump vs. inspect). When there’s a fit, we introduce you to a licensed driller. They follow up about timeline and price. There’s no obligation created by the form alone.
Do I pay you for the introduction?
Homeowner introductions are free in this phase. If we later work with drillers on a paid lead arrangement, that stays between us and the driller — it shouldn’t change how you get contacted after an intro.
Can you help with pump repair only?
Sometimes. Pump work is often a different trade than drilling. Describe the issue on the form and we’ll route when we know a better shop, or tell you if we can’t help.
Still unsure? Include your questions in the message field when you request a driller intro.
